Look Essex promotes partnership and collaboration with other organisations, and groups to encourage independent living and freedom of choice. Multi agency working encourages the provision of joined up and inclusive services for children with visual impairment Look Essex involve parents and families at every level to enable and to encourage independence.
Social activities and events designed to provide breaks and respite for children, carers and families.
Look Essex can provide equipment, computers, and resources for familiarisation, loan and personal use for visually impaired children and young people. We currently provide computers, printers, scanners, brailing machines and numerous other resources to families in Essex.
Our qualified Volunteers can enable Parents & Carers to massage their babies and young children, to aid bonding, communication, self awareness, health and well being.
Awareness raising through outreach, integrated information packs, leaflets, newsletters, and multi media/format.
Equipment, computers, and resources for familiarisation, loan and personal use.
Structured development and support enabling visually impaired people the opportunity to meet their full potential.
Raising awareness among community partners, including schools voluntary groups and other service providers.
